Founded in 1998 by husband-and-wife team Engineer Patrick and Helen, Alva’s began as a humble stall known for its perfectly crunchy chicharon. As its popularity grew, Alva’s became a local favorite for its delicious fried chicken and affordable meals enjoyed by students, workers, families, and tourists alike.
Through hard work, dedication, and loyal customer support, the business expanded into a small carenderia and eventually opened multiple branches across Bohol. Growing demand led Alva’s to enter franchising, bringing its well-loved offerings to more communities beyond Tagbilaran City.
Today, Alva’s operates 23 company-owned outlets and 19 franchise stores, alongside affiliate brands Insiang’s Grill and St. Patrick’s. After 27 years, Alva’s remains committed to serving affordable, delicious, and comforting meals while continuing to be part of the everyday lives and memories of its customers.
